Sunday 24th February 2002

We drove to Galéria and parked by a headland with a ruin. There was a freshish wind blowing and lots of spectacular waves crashing into the rocks. We walked round to the other side of the headland and found a secluded beach by the mouth of a freshwater river, where we picnicked, Helen paddled and we sunbathed lots.

We drove on to the centre of Galéria and parked next to the church to start a circular walk. We picked up a red setter-style dog in Calca and it went with us round our 2-hour walk on the Mare e Monti. By the end we were protecting cows from it and it from other dogs. We nearly accrued several more dogs along the way as well!

We had dinner at Le Nautic again - not quite as amazing as before but still very nice.
