Saturday 16th February 2002

We drove to Île Rousse in search of sunshine and beaches. Unfortunately the sun promptly disappeared, but we had our picnic lunch on the Île anyway (with no cutlery - oops!). We had a look at the car ferry waiting there, then went to the sea front where we paddled - accidentally at first, then on purpose.

We bought postcards in a Tabac, and failed to buy a newspaper (though Helen had quite a good conversation with another lady waiting for the Maison de la Presse to open).

We went home to warm up, then drove out to Punta di Cataraghiu to watch the sun set.

After dinner in the apartment, we went out to phone home and had dessert at l'Oasis.
